Frost & Sullivan: Demand for IP Video Surveillance Boosts Northeast Asia Video Surveillance Market

PRLog (Press Release) - Sep 05, 2011 - Singapore – Estimates reveal that the total Northeast Asia video surveillance market was valued at US$525.3 million in 2010. The market comprises two mature countries - Japan and South Korea, in terms of video surveillance prevalence, and continues to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 20.3 percent. This can be attributed to various mandates in these countries, falling prices of IP video surveillance, initiation of a number of large-scale security projects and, most importantly, government support for these projects.

Japan had to face a financial crisis in 2009; also, the earthquake and tsunami in 2011. Both these events have curbed government spending and resulted in fluctuating growth rates in the video surveillance sector. South Korea has remained relatively stable, showing consistent growth over the years.

New analysis from Frost & Sullivan, Northeast Asia Video Surveillance Markets, finds that the market has been showing promising growth in video surveillance and can look forward to numerous pilot projects in the future.

"Participants in both these countries are very confident of the market share of IP surveillance taking over analog surveillance within the next 3 to 5 years," says Frost & Sullivan Industry Analyst Navin Rajendra. "This is evident from the magnitude of projects being implemented which would not be properly managed by analog surveillance systems in terms of finance and operation."

The private sector is now employing video surveillance for the service as well as the manufacturing industries as a tool to monitor and expedite efficiency. Going forward, the impetus from both the government and private sector will stoke growth in these mature markets. Japan, South Korea and China are the top revenue generators to the video surveillance oled technology on mobile phone market in Asia.

"Companies such as Axis, Panasonic, Sony, and Mobotix continue to dominate the market at the high end," says Rajendra. "Looking at the low and medium end, there are many small tier companies that have been performing well with ample scope for growth."

Samsung, Techwin, LG, Truent and ICanTek continue to dominate the high-end market in South Korea.

Although the prospects for the market look upbeat, there are some challenges restraining market progression. The high degree of competition, particularly at the mid-level tiers, is clouding the market landscape. Issues surrounding integration with legacy systems are slowing market momentum.

Currently, many of the video surveillance systems are part of an integrated security system involving many vendors from the biometrics, key pads and smart card access control segments. The system integrator would be responsible for selecting the vendor for each of these projects and would have to ensure interoperability between these systems. Participants in this space must immediately address interoperability concerns for auto identification technologies to put t my photo and wallpaper he market on the fast track to progress.

Pilots Delivering Aid to the Out Islands of the Bahamas after Irene

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug 29, 2011 - Bahamas Habitat (http://www.bahamashabitat.org) announced today its first response pilots are now delivering aid to numerous points in the Bahamas affected by Hurricane Irene. The organization moved quickly and had its first planes arriving on Friday August 26th shortly after the storm passed to the north.

The group has set up a main depot and coordination post at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (FXE). Volunteers and pilots have come in from numerous points in the US and Bahamas. Planes were dispatched to deliver supplies and assess the damage and needs so the organization can direct the next wave of volunteer pilots according to the conditions they find on the ground in the various "Out Islands".

"We made our first flights on Friday as soon as it was safe to fly", said Cameron King, the organization's Aviation and Disaster Relief Coordinator. "One of our first s oled technology on mobile phone tops was to Governor's Harbour on Eleuthera Island to deliver supplies and check on our staff and our base camp there. Though there was damage, we are just all s my photo and wallpaper o thankful no one has been injured."

The organization is reaching out for donations of supplies, additional pilots with aircraft to join in the relief airlift, and online donations to allow the group to buy supplies to fill their volunteer aircraft.

They are publishing lists of supplies needed on their website along with their flight missions. They have requested everything from generators to roofing materials to food that does not require much preparation such as pop-top cans and ready to eat items.

Abraham McIntyre, the Executive Director of Bahamas Methodist Habitat and the organization's Camp Symonette on Eleuthera said, "We are blessed the damage was not worse that it is. We are grateful to have the generous support of all of our volunteers, pilots and donors. It is their generous contributions that make it possible for us to serve the needs of those affected by this storm."

The organization maintains an active Hurricane Irene News Feed with photos from their missions. All parties interested in mission updates and volunteering opportunities should sign up on the website (http://www.bahamashabitat.org) for their mission update emails. Online donations are requested and can be made by credit card on the website. All donations are Tax Deductible.

Throughout the year Bahamas Habitat helps introduce pilots to mission flying opportunities and offer training opportunities so they can respond in times like these. This approach was tremendously successful in providing the organization the ability to respond quickly to the Haiti earthquake.

Sony Set to Release Tablet to Compete Against The Apple iPad this year.

PRLog (Press Release) - Sep 02, 2011 - This week Sony announced that they are to release 2 tablet computers that could finally provide some competition for Apple and their iPad 2 tablet as one of the most wanted Christmas gifts this year.

The first of the tablets is the Sony Tablet P. This is a tablet that is foldable and according to Sony it can fit into a handbag or jacket pocket.

"It has two 5.5 inch screens, which enables it to fold, however it of course leaves an annoying split down the middle of the screen. It also has the ability to display different things on each scre oled technology on mobile phone en," said James Jones fro Poor Credit Loans 4 You     http://www.poor-credit-loans-4-you.co.uk/poor-credit-chr ...

The Tablet P has Wi-Fi and 3G just as the iPad 2 does and is £20 cheaper but at the moment only a 16gb version has been announced unlike the iPad 2 where you can get up to a 64gb version and the new iPad 3, which is expected in the near future is rumoured to have a 128gb version.

Along with the new Tablet P, Sony also announced a more conventional tablet that they have named the Sony S.

This tablet has a 9.4-inch screen so is around the same as an iPad and Sony have also put infrared technology in to the device which allows it to be used as a remote for other Sony Devices. Also at the touch of a button, files can be transferred from the Tablet P to certain Sony TVs.

The Mobile Gazette Website praised the 'innovative design' of the products and said: 'These two Sony tablets could finally provide some serious competition to the Apple iPad 2'

This is not the opinion of everyone however and Jeff Lodd, an electronics analyst at Macquarie Securities was not impressed by what Sony has to offer in the Tablet S and said 'we think the design will fail'

"We see many requests for iPad Loans and the product is extremely popular, so it would be difficult to break in to the market to compete against Apples iPad & iPad 2 as they seem to dominate that market and offerings from other companies such as Samsung seem to have small success compared to the iPad" said James Jones from Poor Credit Loans 4 You.

When comparing the Tablet P to the iPad there are great selling points for each, such as the Sony Tablets having access to Playstation games and the iPad of course has access to the over 350,000 apps on the Apples iTunes store which may persuade potential buyers either way and my photo and wallpaper the Playstation as big fan base.

"With Tablet computers expected to be one of the must have Christmas presents this year, we are expecting a massive amount of Christmas Loan applications to enable people to get these tablet computers as presents for their loved ones" said James Jones from Poor Credit Loans 4 You.           http://www.poor-credit-loans-4-you.co.uk/ipad-loan-iphon ...
