Crosslink receives US patent for corrosion-reisitance coatings

, a leader in the development of advanced organic materials, was issued a patent this week by the United States Patent and Trademark Office on "Corrosion Resistant Coatings with Modified Metal Salts of Corrosion Resisting Organic Anions" (US Patent No. 7,935,181). The patent serves as the foundational intellectual property asset in Crosslink's Performance Coatings platform focused on corrosion-inhibiting pigments and formulated primers.

Since 2001, Crosslink has endeavored to develop a suitable alternative to hexavalent chromium as a corrosion-inhibiting pigment for aerospace applications. Crosslink's Corrlink 30A non-chromate pigment technology has repeatedly demonstrated its ability to compete against standard chromate systems and outperform approved non-chromate systems, in both outdoor exposure and indoor accelerated tests.  Several recent third-party validation results have significantly increased the level of visibility of Corrlink30A. Currently, Crosslink is considering various avenues to the market its patented technology.
