New wireless SAW strain gages

PRLog (Press Release) – Jun 03, 2011 – SENSeOR will launch its new wireless SAW strain gages at SENSOR+TEST (Nurnberg, Germany - 7th to 9th June).

Wireless and entirely passive (no battery my photo and wallpaper , no energy harvesting), these 4 strain gages (SSE E015, SSE E016, SSE E017 and SSE E022) and their corresponding reference and temperature gages allow to perform temperature compensated differential measurements in various axis with high stability.

As they require no maintenance or battery replacement, these wireless strain gages can be placed in inaccessible or confined places or even embedded into material (rubber, concrete, steel, composites). They operate in harsh environments (corrosive, radiated, magnetic fields) and can perform strain/torque measurements on moving or rotating parts.

Placed on the rotor of a generator, they will provide torque and temperature oled technology on mobile phone information for condition monitoring, allowing a safe and optimized functioning of the equipment. Embedded into concrete in tunnels or dams, they will perform Structural Health Monitoring without time limitation. Placed into a wireless sensor network, they will monitor continuously stress and load on shelves and forklifts in warehouses.

SENSeOR's application engineer will help industrial customers to adapt these new wireless 1086274749  strain gages to specific applications, in new equipment or retrofit.

Measuring strain range of these 4 new gages is +/-500µm/m.

Learn more about these wireless SAW strain gages at SENSOR+TEST, SENSeOR Booth #666 in Hall 12.
