BuyMyTronics Launches in Australia!

PRLog (Press Release) – Jul 17, 2011 – One of the most successful and trusted electronics recyclers in the world is expanding its reach to Australia with the opening of a new Sydney office aimed at helping reduce the more than 14 million electronic units that hit landfills each year.

BuyMyTronics' web launch into the Australian market a few days ago expands this valuable service to a population that has more mobile phones (24.22 million) than people. BuyMyTronics Australia (BuyMyTronics.com.au) pulls double duty as a reputable electronic recycling service that helps thicken the wallets of Australians who have an assortment of unused electronics such as mobiles, tablets, laptops and more that either take up space at home or wind up in a garbage bin.

In 2007–08 alone, Australians discarded 16.8 million electronic devices, and only 9 per cent were recycled while 14.7 million units were sent to a landfill, according to the Environment, Protection and Heritage Council.

Facing similar wasteful problems in the U.S. over the last four years, BuyMyTronics has helped recycle more than 100,000 portable electronics, saving more than 25 tonnes worth of waste from American landfills and paying out more than $2 million USD to more than 50,000 customers.

The company currently accepts more than 6,000 types of products from just about every portable electronic device imaginable including mobile phones, tablets, laptops and GPS units. For this eco-friendly work, the company and founder Brett Mosley have gained major media attention in the United States from a variety of sources including msnbc, the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Fortune magazine.

By opening a headquarters in Sydney, BuyMyTronics Australia will now offer the same services — oled technology on mobile phone free shipping, some of the highest payouts in the industry, secure transactions and data erasing, and exceptional and honest customer service — all while keeping tonnes (literally) of electronics out of landfills and offering cash in exchange.

The Australian effort is headed up by Chief Operating Officer David Parker who has lived in Sydney since 2005 and left behind a civil engineering career to spearhead the international launch of BuyMyTronics. About BuyMyTronics
